The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at St. Catherine Hospital is an eight-bed ICU. We staff an intensivist 24 hours per day, we care for a wide range of patients from sepsis, COPD exacerbation, respiratory distress, pneumonia, heat failure, GI bleed, renal failure and overdose. We take care of patients with art lines, central lines, intubations, procedures and telemetry monitoring for floor patients as well. We occasionally receive over flow from the med/surg floor if they are full. We are on a mission to provide the best care for all patients,from pediatrics to geriatrics and all those in between. Individuals might want to join our department because we are known for our collaborative teamwork. We are more of a family than co-workers. The associates support one another and never leave anyone behind. We can self-schedule and have a chance to develop a multitude of skills. There is a variety of personalities on our unit because that allows us to provide the best care toeach patient individually.

Assumes responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the patient. Promotes the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act. Demonstrates personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.

What You Bring/Job Requirements

**$15k bonus paid out over 2 years to new employees that have 1 year of RN ICU experience**

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

• RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact,
• Colorado Only:
  RNs working in Colorado under a multi-state license must obtain their CO RN license within 30 days of establishing residency, i.e., drivers license, register to vote, etc. Compact to Compact. • Nursing Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RN's
• BLS from the American Heart Association required
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire or transfer date
• PALS required within 1 year of hire or transfer date
• One year RN experience preferred
• Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty
• Preferred: 3 years of ICU experience, CCRN

Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
