    POSITION TITLE: Cafeteria Manager DIVISION: Logistics
    WORK YEAR: 9 months DEPARTMENT: Food Services
    LOCATION: Assigned Schools SALARY SCHEDULE: GRADE: 9 - Starting at $18.49 up to $19.33,
    depending on Experience and/or Education

    DEFINITION:
    The Cafeteria Manager oversees the preparing and serving meals for students and faculty in accordance with
    State and Federal guidelines. Performs job related duties as assigned.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    1. Operates the school food and nutrition program within established meal pattern, budget, and productivity standards in compliance with regulations and requirements.
    2. Maintains records of meals served by category, e.g., paid, free, reduced-price, student and adult meals.
    3. Accounts for and submits bank deposits of breakfast and lunch monies received.
    4. Prepares reports as required by the District, State, and USDA.
    5. Supervises cafeteria personnel; maintains timesheets for all cafeteria employees.
    6. Prepares staffing schedule; trains new kitchen staff.
    7. Orders and receives products needed for breakfast and lunch service.
    8. Takes physical inventory monthly.
    9. Attends all required meetings; e.g., staff meetings and professional growth workshops.
    10. Complies with all government regulations; e.g., regarding portion size, sanitation and safety.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    1. High school diploma or GED required.
    2. Experience in all departments of food service operations.
    3. Possession of an Arizona School Food Service certification.
    4. Possess and maintain a valid Maricopa County Food Handler's card and Certification.
    5. Possess basic working knowledge of the culinary industry including food service operations, sanitation standards, food preparation, and food service equipment.
    6. Ability to effectively direct the work of others; supervisory experience recommended
    7. Must pass a Tuberculosis Test.
