- Operates the school food and nutrition program within established meal pattern, budget, and productivity standards in compliance with regulations and requirements.
- Maintains records of meals served by category, e.g., paid, free, reduced-price, student and adult meals.
- Accounts for and submits bank deposits of breakfast and lunch monies received.
- Prepares reports as required by the District, State, and USDA.
- Supervises cafeteria personnel; maintains timesheets for all cafeteria employees.
- Prepares staffing schedule; trains new kitchen staff.
- Orders and receives products needed for breakfast and lunch service.
- Takes physical inventory monthly.
- Attends all required meetings; e.g., staff meetings and professional growth workshops.
- Complies with all government regulations; e.g., regarding portion size, sanitation and safety.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience in all departments of food service operations.
- Possession of an Arizona School Food Service certification.
- Possess and maintain a valid Maricopa County Food Handler's card and Certification.
- Possess basic working knowledge of the culinary industry including food service operations, sanitation standards, food preparation, and food service equipment.
- Ability to effectively direct the work of others; supervisory experience recommended
- Must pass a Tuberculosis Test.
