    Grade 11 Starting $20.38 - $21.31 Depending on Education and Experience

    DEFINITION:

    The Glazier performs skilled glazing duties in the maintenance of building and facilities. Performs job related duties as assigned.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    1. Cut to size and install glass or Plexiglas in doors, windows and other openings required glass or Plexiglas covering.

    2. Cut or drill various configurations for special application.

    3. Apply putty or caulking.

    4. Remove all broken glass from openings requiring coverage.

    5. Use rules, glasscutter, putty knife, hammer, chisels, power saw, shaper, sander and drill in the performance of duties.

    6. Put sun film bus and classroom windows.

    7. Maintain stock of inventory; requisition necessary supplies.

    8. Maintain assigned equipment and vehicle.

    POSITION TITLE: Glazier

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. High School diploma or GED.

    2. Completion of glazier apprenticeship and five years of subsequent glazier experience.

    3. Knowledge of strengths of glass and Plexiglas.

    4. Ability to follow oral and written instruction.

    5. Physical ability to stand turns, stoop, couch, reach, lift, push and climb ladders, scaffold and poles.

    6. Satisfactory vision and hearing.

    7. Possess valid Arizona driver's license.
