POSITION TITLE: P.E./Athletic Equipment DIVISION: Instructional Services
Manager
WORK YEAR: 9 months DEPARTMENT:Physical Education
LOCATION: Schools SALARY SCHEDULE: Starting at $14.49 through $15.15 depending on experience and education
DEFINITION:
The Athletic/P.E. Equipment Manager is responsible for maintaining, securing, distributing and receiving athletic equipment, athletic uniforms, and lockers for all sporting events and physical education classes. Performs job related duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Launders Athletic uniforms and towels and cleans athletic equipment.
2. Sets up Athletic/P.E. facilities for all sporting events and physical education classes; dismantles and/or stores equipment after events.
3. Maintains, secures, distributes, and monitors inventory of all Athletic/P.E. equipment.
4. Assists coaches with issue and collection of athletic equipment.
5. Drives school van with necessary athletic equipment to away games as required.
6. Issues athletic uniform clothing and equipment; obtains signature of student athletes on the athletic equipment card.
7. Makes minor repairs to Athletic/P.E. equipment.
8. Performs janitorial duties in the secured Athletic/P.E. equipment room area.
9. Ensures security of all Athletic/P.E. equipment.
10. Supervises equipment storage.
11. Reports necessary repairs of Athletic/P.E. facilities to maintenance.
12. Prepares vandalism report as needed.
POSITION TITLE: P.E./Athletic Equipment Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School diploma or G.E.D.
2. Must possess a valid Arizona Driver's License.
3. Knowledge of athletic equipment maintenance and/or materials management.
4. Ability to follow oral and routine written instructions.
5. Ability to reach, bend, stoop and carry items up to 50 pounds.
6. Ability to work without direct supervision.
7. Ability to maintain necessary records.
8. Ability to operate a computer preferred.
