CE 21st CCLC Summer Site Coordinator - Community Education

Location: Campo Bello Elementary School

Temporary Position

Dates: 6/1 2021 - 6/29/2021

Hours: Monday - Thursday; 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Payment: $27.00/hour paid through timesheets

Purpose Statement

The job of CE 21st Century Summer Site Coordinator is done for the purpose/s of coordinating the 21st Century Community Learning Center program at the school building level and related activities; providing information to others; implementing and maintaining services within established guidelines and standards; and coordinating activities and addressing issues, situations and/or problems that arise on the site campus or with enrolled students and staff.

This job reports to 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant Manager & Site Principal

Essential Functions

Analyzes a variety of program-related information (e.g. benchmark assessments, pre-and-post teacher surveys, etc.) for the purpose of providing direction and support, making recommendations, and/or ensuring overall operations are within budget/grant.

Compiles data from a wide variety of sources (e.g. staff, community partners, students, and stakeholders in regards to the 21st Century CLC program, site council, etc.) for the purpose of analyzing issues, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures, and/or monitoring program components.

Coordinates a variety of activities(e.g. snack distribution at program, program supply purchasing, transportation services, family engagement activities) for the purpose of delivering services in compliance with established guidelines.

Directs the implementation of existing and new programs/services through a combination of delegation and personal involvement for the purpose of ensuring new programs/services are provided within established timeframes in compliance with all related requirements.

Manages assigned programs at the school site for the purpose of upholding the integrity of grants and ensuring the success of grant objectives.

Monitors program/services (e.g. student attendance rosters, student discipline data, data collection of assessments, lesson plans, transportation, safety plans (including the after school emergency response plan), staff timesheets and effort logs, ePar site spreadsheet, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring stated outcomes are achieved, relevant policies and procedures are met, and services are efficiently provided within budgetary and regulatory guidelines.

Participates in meetings, workshops, trainings, and seminars (e.g. planning sessions and collaborative meetings with 21st Century CLC Grant Manager, professional development activities provided by the school), presents 21st CCLC information at least one staff meeting, and attends the annual state conference for 21st CCLC programs for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions.

Prepares a wide variety of often complex materials (e.g. registration materials for identified students, pre- & post teacher surveys, Summary of Classes and Annual report, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and issues, meeting compliance requirements, providing audit references, making presentations, and/or providing supporting materials for requested actions.

Presents information on a variety of topics related to administrative responsibilities (e.g. financial information, overviews of programs/services, policies and procedures, etc.) for the purpose of providing general information, training others, and implementing actions.

Responds to issues involving staff, conflicts in policies and regulations, community concerns, parental requests that may result in some negative impact and/or liability if not appropriately addressed for the purpose of identifying the relevant issues and recommending or implementing a plan of action that will efficiently resolve the issue and ensure compliance with policies/procedures.

Supervises site instructors and support staff for the purpose of monitoring performance, providing for professional growth, and achieving overall grant objectives.

Supports administrators (e.g. Grant Manager, Director, Site Principal, etc.) for the purpose of collaborating with these administrators in the achievement of department, program, and district goals.

Other Functions

Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

SKILLS are required to perform multiple, technical tasks with a need to occasionally upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: operating standard office equipment including utilizing pertinent software applications; planning and managing projects; budgeting and financial management; developing effective working relationships; analyzing data; conducting interviews; conducting meetings; enforcing discipline policies.

KNOWLEDGE is required to perform algebra and/or geometry; read technical information, compose a variety of documents, and/or facilitate group discussions; and analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions. Specific knowledge-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: public relations policies and procedures; community resources; personnel practices; methods of instruction and training; practices of personnel administration.

ABILITY is required to schedule a significant number of activities, meetings, and/or events; gather, collate, and/or classify data; and use basic, job-related equipment. Flexibility is required to work with others in a wide variety of circumstances; work with data utilizing defined but different processes, and operate equipment using defined methods. Ability is also required to work with a diversity of individuals and/or groups; work with a variety of data, and utilize job-related equipment. Independent problem solving is required to analyze issues and create action plans. Problem-solving with data frequently requires independent interpretation of guidelines, and problem-solving with equipment is limited. Specific ability based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: communicating with diverse groups; meeting deadlines and schedules; setting priorities; working as part of a team; making quick and accurate decisions; working with multiple projects; dealing with frequent interruptions and changing priorities; maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibility

Responsibilities include: working independently under broad organizational guidelines to achieve unit objectives; directing other persons within a department, large work unit, and/or across several small work units; utilization of resources from other work units is often required to perform the job's functions. Work Environment

The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 60% sitting, 25% walking, and 15% standing. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and under conditions with some exposure to the risk of injury and/or illness.

Experience: Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is required.

Education: Bachelors degree in job-related area.
