    FLSA STATUS: Non Exempt HOURS PER DAY: 8

    WORK CALENDAR: 203 days

    COMPENSATION: Classified Non Exempt Compensation Guide (Starting at $17.52/hour)

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. This position involves duties related to the maintenance of school attendance records. Work is performed under moderate supervision

    2. Classifies, codes, records, and maintains student information and daily attendance records on the computer

    3. Compiles data, attendance reports, lists, and routine correspondence to the State Department of Education and other authorized persons

    4. Communicates with parents regarding inquiries and provides information related to school attendance policies and procedures

    5. Contacts parents, by phone or mail, regarding student absences

    6. Performs receptionist duties and other general clerical duties, as necessary

    7. Runs student attendance profiles on request

    8. Prepares reports as requested by school and department personnel and the District Office

    9. Prepares ADA, ADM and absenteeism reports as requested

    10. Distribute materials dropped off for students in a timely manner

    11. Maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, staff, parents and school issues

    12. Provide a welcoming atmosphere for students, staff, parents and community

    13. Perform responsibilities in an ethical and professional manner

    14. Maintain punctual and regular attendance

    15. Perform other related duties as assigned

    Education / Certificate

    1. Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

    2. Must have and maintain a valid IVP Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card

    Experience

    1. Minimum of one year of general clerical experience in a school setting preferred.

    2. Must possess skills in general office procedures and ability to type accurately.

    3. Must possess an ability to deal effectively with matters of confidentiality.

    4. Must possess a pleasant personality and telephone manner.

    5. Must possess an ability to work cooperatively with the general public.

    6. Must possess a loyalty to the school district and its philosophy.

    7. Must be organized and able to work independently.



    Communication Skills

    1.Excellent written and oral communication skills

    2. Must possess ability to work cooperatively with parents, students, administrators, faculty,

    Staff and general public

    3. Bilingual communication is beneficial and preferred

    Computer Skills

    1. Must possess a background and experience in computer operation (Google Suites and Microsoft Office)

    2. Must have ability to use or to learn to use student information system software as well as other software necessary for the department
