    POSITION SUMMARY
    Responsible for maintaining, ordering, and inventorying athletic and sports supplies, equipment and apparel, including uniforms, for school teams and other sports programs. Monitors athletic events for facilities and equipment needs, athlete safety, and ensures that equipment is stored appropriately after events.

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Coordinates with administrators, coaches and athletic staff personnel to determine schools athletic equipment needs, team uniform needs, etc.
    • Maintains inventory of all sporting equipment and supplies.
    • Works with purchasing staff and vendors to procure needed athletic equipment and supplies.
    • Fits or monitors fitting of athletic equipment to ensure athletes receive appropriate equipment.
    • Inspects and cleans athletic equipment to ensure hygiene and safety standards are met.
    • Maintains control of all sports and athletic equipment, which includes pre- and postseason inventory, use, and storage.
    • Prepares various reports and retrieves records, as needed for inventory, audit and budgetary purposes, etc.
    • Composes and generates correspondence to vendors, schools and departments, etc.
    • Monitors athletic events for facilitys needs.
    • Monitors athletic events for equipment needs.
    • Properly stores all athletic equipment after events.
    • Performs related duties as assigned.

    KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
    • Ability to operate standard office equipment.
    • Knowledge of a wide range of sports and associated equipment and supply needs.
    • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
    • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations.
    • Ability to work cooperatively and courteously with staff, students, parents and community members.
    • Perform all duties in accordance with Federal and State laws, district procedures and Board policies.
    • Produce accurate work and complete assignments with minimal supervision.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • 1 year previous athletic equipment experience
    • Any equivalent combination of training, education and experience that meets minimum requirements

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, stoop and bend. The employee may be required to move or lift up to 50 pounds.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT
    Indoor environment and outdoors in all types of weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is generally moderate and may become excessively noisy at times. Will have contact with students, staff and the public.

    $12.37/hour (ASRS Retirees will have a lower hourly rate due to the Alternate Contribution Rate)

    10 Month position - 5 hours/day
