- Model best practices in respective field
- Schedule, plan and present regular team meetings
- Provide input regarding evaluations of staff in their respective field
- Mentor and train new staff in their respective field
- Support and coach all staff in their respective field
- Participate in the interview process for new hires
- Organize coverage for long and short term absences
- Provide assistance, technical expertise and advice to the Teaching and Learning Division
- Organize and facilitate crisis management in area of expertise/discipline in collaboration with Director of SEL and Project Aware Supervisor
- Provide input and support to Teaching and Learning Division for development of individual and group professional growth/improvement.
- Other Department related duties as assigned
- Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology or related field required
- Licensed with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners, (Associate or Independent license) preferred
- Current Arizona Standard School Counselor Certificate required
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in counseling
- Experience working with diverse populations
- Knowledge and understanding of American School Counselor Association
- Knowledge of community resources
- Ability to work effectively with District and school site administrators, teachers, support staff, parents and community agency

TITLE: Lead Counselor Stipend
CLASSIFICATION: Certified Non-Teacher
REPORTS TO: Director of Student Wellness
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing leadership to the school counselor group, management of District counseling services, participating in the Student Wellness Department leadership team.
COMPENSATION: $5000.00 Stipend
WORK YEAR: Yearly
