JOB GOAL
To work collaboratively with school staff and district directors; data and assessment, teaching and learning, math, and professional learning communities; to build student success by implementing evidence-based activities to meet comprehensive needs of students in all content areas of need. Work to provide learning opportunities by providing Tier I, II and/or Tier III student interventions and highly effective tier 1 instruction through our Response to the Pandemic Model- more than one years growth in one years time.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Valid Arizona Elementary and/or secondary Teaching Certificate
  • Must be HQ at time of application
  • A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience with excellent evaluations
  • Must have proven academic achievement results and demonstrate excellence in education with student gains and achievement
  • Demonstrates proficiency in teaching AzCCR standards as evidenced by principals evaluations and student achievement
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Arizona State Standards and instructional materials for all subject areas
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and works effectively in a professional learning community
  • Demonstrates knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment as they relate to each other
  • Views self as a learner and seeks professional challenges and demonstrates initiative
  • Demonstrates professional development skills and works effectively with adults
  • Demonstrates ability in working with diverse populations (ELL, Special Education, Gifted)
  • Works collaboratively with district and school site

  • Collaborates with teachers (mainstream, ELL, Special Education, Gifted) to support instruction
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
  • Understands student assessment data and prepares appropriate lesson plans for intervention and acceleration for students.
  • 2Selects and uses materials appropriate for students.
  • Ensures Tier I, II and Tier III instruction is high quality, rigorous, and aligned to AzCCR.
  • Analyzes and organizes individual assessment results and state assessment results to determine areas of weakness and share strategies to address weaknesses through prescriptive intervention.
  • Provides specialized instructional strategies and a plan for staff members on appropriate intervention (Tier I, II and III) in instruction for students. Understands how to differentiate support for students at all levels while holding students to high academic and grade level state standards.
  • Facilitates teacher collaboration on components such as progress monitoring, instructional intervention, data analysis and reporting results on a timely on-going basis. Provides updates to teachers, principals, parents on student progress at least every two weeks.
  • Facilitates, prepares, posts and updates data walls for subjects taught based on school and district expectations.
  • Facilitates teachers use of successful, research-based instructional strategies, including differentiated instruction for diverse learners and supports Tier I interventions in the classroom.
  • Collaborates through Collective Inquiry to develop a comprehensive site plan for supporting all instruction.
  • Works with Educational Services and school teams to create professional development plans based on school and district data.
  • Attends leadership meetings with Educational Services and school administrators to plan professional development and analyze district and school data.
  • Participates in professional development at the district and school level.
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEGE AND SKILLS:
  • Knowledge of applicable Federal, state, county and city statutes, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of applicable Cartwright School District and departmental policies and procedures.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Positions in this class typically require: stooping, reaching, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
  • Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
