We are currently looking for an Account Manager for our Tacoma Branch.This position oversees the management of customer accounts; services customers by selling products, fielding questions, and resolving customers issues. Services existing accounts and also establishes new accounts.

Principal Accountabilities & Deliverables

  • Sell/market Company products and services
  • Quote and negotiate product prices on behalf of the Company to customers, using independent judgment and discretion based on knowledge of current market conditions and other factors
  • Receive customer questions, concerns and complaints and exercise judgment and discretion to resolve them on behalf of the Company
  • Collect and disperse information relevant to the customers and companys needs and use that information to provide superior customer service
  • Continually analyze customer base and manage according to the best return on time invested
  • Actively participate in strategic planning and annual budgeting by account
  • Complete training courses, classes and seminars as assigned
  • Maintain on-going product knowledge meetings for your customers
  • Perform product maintenance through cycle counts as necessary for specialty item inventory
  • Perform other work related duties as assigned by your supervisor and be flexible and adaptable to changes that will occur during the course of employment


Education / Experience and Skills

  • Typically requires a Bachelor degree in Business or related field
  • Understanding or knowledge of lumber industry and the company products and services
  • Ability to model the Capital values and to provide innovative solutions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, motivate and engage commitment of customers and team members
  • Ability to drive and be accountable for results in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task and have multiple projects going simultaneously

Abilities

  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 5 pounds 5% or less of the workday
  • Must be able stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl 5% or less of the workday
  • Must be able to talk, see, hear, concentrate, think, learn and reason for all of the workday
  • Must be able to sit and walk or otherwise move around for prolonged periods of time throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to use a keyboard and do manual tasks for prolonged periods of time throughout the workday.

Work Environment

  • Work is performed indoors in a climate controlled environment.
