Assists in the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements. Reconciles and analytically reviews the balance sheet and income statement accounts. Responsible for monthly tasks such as reconciliations, cash ledger closing and reclasses, month end journal entries, and accruals. Assists staff accountants in the preparation of financial statements and in the analysis and reconciliation of the general ledger. May establish, modify, document, and coordinate implementation of audit and accounting control procedures.
What You Bring/Job RequirementsIn addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
- 3 years of experience in accounting or related field; preferably with a health care system.
- Must be proficient in the use of accounting software and spreadsheet applications, preferably Excel.
- Prefer experience with Lawson software, Cost Report preparation, capital processes and auditing.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent work experience.
- CPA desirable.
Physical Requirements - Sedentary Work - prolonged periods of sitting and exert/lift up to 10 lbs. force occasionally
