Accounting Specialist - VCMG - Full Time

SUMMARY: This position reports to the VCMG Finance Manager and takes direct instructions from the Accountant I & Accountant II in preparation and processing accounts payable, and posting journal entries. Works on weekly processing of invoices, accurately entering data into the general ledger system, processing accounts payable, and routing documents for signature within the Medical Foundation. Responsible for maintaining the files and associated documents in a clear and organized fashion to facilitate quick and accurate retrieval of records and information. This position will also aid the Accountants with month end close activities which will include, posting journal entries, researching questions, and summarizing information for financial reporting.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a High School Diploma or GED with an Associate's Degree preferred. Minimum one (1) year experience in accounting and accounts payable processing is required with three (3) years preferred. Excellent organizational skills and very task oriented in completing task assigned timely and accurately. Ability to work with a high volume of data and process information quickly.

POSITION DETAILS: Full time, 80 hours per pay period. Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. Hybrid role - one day per week in office.
