Immediate part-time, online instructors needed for CNL-515: Counseling Skills

CNL-515: This course provides a broad understanding of counseling processes, including characteristics and behaviors that influence the helping processes. Included are age, gender, ethnic differences, verbal and nonverbal behaviors, personal characteristics, and orientations. The development of counseling techniques is emphasized, including establishing and maintaining the counseling relationship; diagnosing and identifying the problem; formulating a preventative, treatment, or rehabilitative plan; facilitating appropriate interventions; and successfully terminating the counseling relationship.

Requirements:

• Required: Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision (CES) or related field. Please attach an unofficial copy of your conferred Doctoral transcript to review with your application.
• 2 years Active Licensed Independent as Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Independent Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• If no specific Doctorate in CES, must have full-time teaching experience in a counseling program.
• Maintain an active membership in a recognize counseling association and show evidence of counseling advocacy and/or research or scholarly experience preferred.
• Proficient in English, Grammar, and writing in APA format.
• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the Universitys Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.

Responsibilities include equipping students with the required skill set, facilitating classroom discussions, assessing student performance and preparing students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession.
