Course Description: BIT-200: Introduction to Computer Technology

This course provides the foundation of core knowledge within the field of information technology. Topics include technology-centric organizations, the type and role of fundamental information technology systems, data management to include privacy and security, e-business and m-business, hardware, software, and computer networks.

** These courses will be taught on-campus at the GCU Main Campus - Phoenix, AZ.

** These courses are for Fall semester: 09/07/2021 - 12/19/2021

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include equipping students with the required skill set, facilitating classroom discussions, assessing student performance and preparing students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession. Other main responsibilities include the following:

• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the Universitys Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.

Qualifications:

• Preferred: PhD/DBA Information Systems or Doctorate in an Information Systems related discipline.
• Minimum: Masters in Information Systems OR Masters in Business Administration (MBA)
• 5 or more years of experience working with technology.
• Graduate degree must be from a regional accredited university.
