For those with a passion for ministry and helping others through Christ, the College of Theology offers bachelor and masters degrees in Christian Studies. Specializations include Youth Ministry, Pastoral Ministry, Biblical Studies, and Christian Leadership.

As an adjunct faculty member, youll provide program instruction incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, cutting-edge technologies and other industry trends reflecting advancements in your discipline. This course is an intensive examination of the philosophy and principles for youth ministry programming, including ministry purpose and goals, leadership development, teaching strategies, outreach strategies, budgeting, and evaluation.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include equipping students with the required skill set, facilitating classroom discussions, assessing student performance, and preparing students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession. Other main responsibilities include the following:

• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the Universitys Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
• You will host this course on the GCU main campus, you will be providing instruction to your students, direct thoughtful group discussions, and grade your students assignments in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

• Minimum: Masters in Divinity (preferred) or Masters in Youth Ministry or Masters in Theology or Masters in Christian Studies from an accredited college or university with Youth Ministry coursework AND 2 or more years professional or teaching experience in the area of youth ministry.
• Must be available this spring semester to commute to the Grand Canyon University campus in Phoenix, AZ. Wednesdays & Fridays from 3:00pm-4:45pm. Or Tuesdays & Thursdays from 7:00am-8:45am.
