Position Summary

The Center for Development and Disability (CDD), established in 1990, is New Mexico's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service. These centers, authorized by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, build the capacities of states and communities to respond to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

The Family and Community Partnerships Division of the University of New Mexicos Center for Development and Disability is seeking an Administrative Assistant 2 to work within its Administrative Operations team. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Candidates with experience providing excellent customer service, an understanding of governmental purchasing, a history of event planning, and a proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are encouraged to apply.

Conditions of Employment
  • If this position is assigned to the Athletics Department, either administratively or functionally, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required.
  • All regular, non-temporary positions assigned to this classification are represented by a labor union and subject to the terms and conditions of the US-UNM Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

UNM or larger agency/organization purchasing experience utilizing the organization's credit card;

Strong communication and interpersonal skills;

Experience with event and travel planning, scheduling and reimbursement processing;

Intermediate proficiency with MS Office; particularly Word, Excel and Outlook;

Familiarity with spreadsheets and ability to navigate databases and enter data accurately.
