Position Summary

The Division of Hospital Medicine, within the Department of Internal Medicine, is seeking an AdministrativeAssistant 3. The Division of HospitalMedicine is currently seeking a motivated self-starter who is interested inbecoming a valued member of the team. This person should have excellent communication skills, value customerservice, be detail oriented and have proven time management skills. The Administrative Assistant III will be thefirst line of communication for our faculty, vendors and residents andtherefore should possess the ability to communicate effectively over the phoneand in person. Computer skills and basicmath skills are essential. This candidate will perform a variety ofadministrative support duties for the Division to include: assist the DivisionChief, reception duties, answering phones, filing, processing financial transactions, maintaining minutes ofmeetings, assisting with event planning, performing data entry, assist withfaculty credentialing, maintaining schedules and provide assistance in areas offaculty recruitment-hiring-orientation. Conditions of Employment
  • This position is represented by a labor union and is subject to the terms and conditions of the USUNM Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • If this position is assigned to the Athletics Department, either administratively or functionally, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experiencewith purchasing and payment processing
  • Experiencewith faculty recruitment and hiring
  • Experiencewith processing faulty financial transactions within the Banner platform
  • Experienceworking in an academic setting
  • Experiencewith Division Executives (Division Chief, Section Chief) including: Calendars,scheduling meetings, taking meeting notes and special projects
  • Experiencewith data analytics and reporting
