JOB DESCRIPTION ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT I- TEMPORARYThe position is considered temporary with at least a 6-month engagement expected. This position is eligible for benefits.

HOURS PER DAY: 7
WORK CALENDAR: Temporary
PAY RATE: $15.03
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.
Provide a welcoming atmosphere for students, staff, parents and community
2.
Receive visitors, answer phones and provide appropriate information
3.
Perform a variety of clerical duties and contact tracing to provide support and assistance to the Assistant Principal designated as the COVID Supervisor
4.
Performs the required reporting requirement to the Maricopa County Department of Public Health
5.
Assists with Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) inventory and supply needs
6.
Collect and document necessary information
7.
Initiate prompt communication with contacts through phone calls, email and other communication platforms as necessary.
8.
This position will require prioritization, prompt action, and attention to detail
in documentation and data management as multiple investigations will be conducted simultaneously
9.
Maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, staff, parents and school issues
10.
Provide support to other department staff as requested
11.
Schedule appointments as requested
12.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
13.
Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
14.
Perform responsibilities in an ethical and professional manner
15.
Maintain punctual and regular attendance
16.
Perform other job related duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Education / Certificate

Must possess a high school diploma, but a college degree is preferable

Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card (FPCC)
or successfully complete fingerprint and background checks
Experience
-
Clerical experience and knowledge of general office practices and procedures
-
Experience conducting telephone-based or in-person interview, data collection and data entry are preferred
Communication Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-
Must possess ability to work cooperatively with parents, students, administrators, faculty, staff and general public

Bilingual communication is beneficial and preferred
Computer Skills

Knowledge of Google Suites

Knowledge of Microsoft Office
