JOB DESCRIPTION ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT I

WORK CALENDAR: 261 days
SALARY GRADE: O ($15.03 starting)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.
Provide a welcoming atmosphere for students, staff, parents and community
2.
Receive visitors, answer phones and provide appropriate information which requires a broad knowledge of District affairs, programs and services
3.
Perform a variety of clerical duties to provide support and assistance to the Director and department
4.
Prepare statistical reports, charts, graphs and spreadsheets that reflect data related to the Curriculum and Instruction department
5.
Assist with office mailings and materials distribution
6.
Assist and coordinate Ed Services event planning as needed (Early Releases, SPDA, District Dept. Chair meetings, New Teacher Orientation, STEMCon, conferences, calendar invites, reminder, transportation, etc.)
7.
Coordinate with the Federal Programs Specialists regarding technology/supply needs for Intervention programs and distribute as needed.
8.
Maintain student and teacher access to digital curricular materials, including troubleshooting in multiple programs (Pearson/Saavas, McGraw Hill, Clever, Go Guardian, Remind etc.)
9.
Monitor and maintain department sites and email account (The Hub, Parent Hub)
10.
Maintain all department supplies and processes all requisitions for department including obtaining quotes
11.
Maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, staff, parents and school issues
12.
Provide support to other department staff as requested
13.
Schedule appointments as requested
14.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
15.
Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
16.
Perform responsibilities in an ethical and professional manner
17.
Maintain punctual and regular attendance
18.
Perform other job related duties as assigned

Education / Certificate

Must possess a high school diploma, but a college degree is preferable

Certified in Google Suites is preferable

Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card (FPCC)
or successfully complete fingerprint and background checks -
Must be able to obtain clearance with a 39-month driving record to operate a District vehicle
Experience
-
Clerical experience and knowledge of general office practices and procedures
Communication Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Must possess ability to work cooperatively with parents, students, administrators, faculty, staff and general public

Bilingual communication is beneficial and preferred
Computer Skills

Knowledge of Google Suites
