Job Description
Term of Employment: Full Time, 10 months with benefits
Work Hours: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM, work schedule may vary
Salary Range: $25,760.00 - $35,744.00 DOE
Summary:
Provides high-level administrative support by performing a wide variety of specialized and responsible secretarial and administrative duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The list of essential functions is not exhaustive and may be supplemented.
- Provides administrative support to administrators
- Performs secretarial and clerical duties, including scheduling appointments, maintains filing system, operates fax and copy equipment etc., mailing, answering phones, and responds to inquiries
- Plans, schedules, and coordinates events, to include the scheduling and set up of meeting rooms (may include ordering food, beverages, etc.)
- Maintains calendar, schedules meetings, appointments, conferences, and arranges travel accommodations as needed
- Prepares and composes a variety of materials, such as reports, correspondence, agendas, forms, spreadsheets, flyers, brochures, and other documents/program materials
- Takes, prepares, and distributes minutes, prepares correspondence independently or from oral or written instructions
- Communicates with District personnel, CTE Directors, teachers, parents, students, constituents, and business community.
- May work with federal grants and assist with the distribution/inventory of student snack program.
- Processes requisitions, orders supplies, and equipment
- May assist other departments as needed
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications/Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus some college coursework in business, office practices or related field preferred.
- Three (3) years responsible secretarial or administrative assistant experience.
- Highly skilled in word processing, spreadsheet applications, and relevant software applications (Google Apps., Microsoft Office, etc.)
- Experience working in an educational setting
Additional Requirements:
- Must pass a background check
- MMR immunization (unless born prior to January 1, 1957)
- Negative TB test (within the last year)
- Valid AZ driver’s license
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of office concepts, practices and procedures.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Capability to be highly organized and detail oriented.
- Ability to coordinate and complete multiple tasks/assignments at one time in a timely and efficient manner.
- Knowledge of Infinite Visions or other comparable school finance software.
- Knowledge of Career and Technical Education.
- Ability to utilize mathematical formulas, and apply math functions.
