Rotating schedule of the following shifts: 5:45am-4:15pm; 7am-1pm; 9am-3pm
38 Hours a week, every fourth weekend required.
$15.60/hr - $23.18/hr based on Collective Bargaining Agreement with 1199 SEIU and Carney Hospital
Summary: Arranges for the efficient and orderly admission of inpatients and admission of individuals who have hospital based outpatient testing or procedures.
Responsibilities: Ensures that the patient information is collected and that patients are aware of hospital policies and procedures. Interviews incoming patient or representatives and enters information required for admission into computer database. Distributes appropriate information to ancillary departments. Participates in performance improvement and CQI activities.
Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Computer proficiency with various software applications to include Meditech and other online insurance web sites. Ability to type 40 wpm. Knowledge of third party payers and insurance billing practices. Ability to work accurately with detailed, confidential information.
