As an Underwriting Analysis Advisor you will play an integral role in achieving CVS Healths goal of being a premier healthcare innovation company, while also driving financial results. In this role you will responsible for supporting the design, strategy and build of foundational analytical tools that drive all data forecasting needs to support PBM pricing and underwriting functions. You will be tasked with developing a deep understanding of business needs to ensure analytical requirements are not only accurately captured but communicated to key stakeholders in IT and Enterprise Analytics.
You will:
- Support business validation testing
- Be responsible for performing overall data integrity checks using applications such as Tableau and SQL/Python.
- Assist with the design and review of reporting packages created after data forecasting for utilization by downstream business partners.
The ideal candidate is someone that can leverage both their business and technology knowledge and is able to easily communicate complex business requirements in a manner that technical teams can interpret and implement.
Additionally, a successful candidate is one that embraces change and suggests out of the box solutions that will optimize new business processes in support of our overall enterprise goal which is to improve the accuracy of forecasting logic and reduce financial leakage.
Required Qualifications
8+ years of professional work experience in analytics
Preferred Qualifications
* Prior experience or knowledge of health insurance, managed care or prescription drug industry
* Degree related to finance, mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, economics or other data related fields
* Developed technical skills including manipulation of pharmacy claims data and 2+ years experience or proficiency in SQL/Python
* Ability to work in fast-paced environment delivering on multiple simultaneous commitments
* Strong collaboration skills and willingness to work across business units within a complex organization
* Results oriented with ability to keep others on task to meet defined goals
Education
Bachelor's degree required
