Service Term Schedule

  • AmeriCorps members have the option of completing "quarter time" of 450 hours/30 hours per week or "minimum time" of 300 hours/20 hours per week over the course of a four-month service term.
  • Service hours are completed between 8am and 5pm, Monday through Friday.
  • Candidates for this term start January 3, 2025, and end March 31, 2025.

Program Benefits
  • Stipend range equals between $2,500 and $4,300 for term of service.
  • AmeriCorps members receive an Educational Award toward loans or student costs at end of service.
  • Team support and coaching.
  • Opportunities to participate in Professional Trainings in the field of Probation and Criminal Justice.
Example of Duties

Responsibilities
All members must adhere to regulations, rules of conduct, and must attend any training, community service activities and events as required by: Corporation for National Service (CNCS), Arizona Supreme Court/Adult Probation Services Division - AmeriCorps Program, and the Arizona Governor's Office for Youth, Faith, and Families.

Prohibited Activity
Members may not:

  • Attempt to influence legislation;
  • Organize or engage in protests, petitions, boycotts, or strikes;
  • Assist, promote, or deter union organizing;
  • Impair existing contracts for services or collective bargaining agreements;
  • Engage in partisan political activities;
  • Participate in, or endorse, events or activities that are likely to include political advocacy;
  • Engage in religious instruction or proselytization;
  • Provide a direct benefit to a business organized for profit, a labor union, a partisan political organization, or other organizations specified by CNCS;
  • Conduct a voter registration drive;
  • Provide abortion services or referrals for receipt of such services;
  • Nor other activities as CNCS may prohibit.
Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be a United States citizen
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must successfully complete and pass a criminal background check

  • Ability to work under supervision and exercise judgement
  • Basic computer skills
  • Able to accurately maintain statistics and records

Supplemental Information

This position will report to a local host (Pinal County Adult Probation) and/or the AmeriCorps site supervisor.
