JOB SUMMARY |
The AmeriCorps member is responsible for building partnerships between families, schools, and Clubs for the benefit of the program participants. The AmeriCorps member provides educational support, including tutoring and small group mentoring to children in grades K through 12 in the areas of reading and math. The member will be required to commit and engage for a in a highly focused program (Program Achieve) and with a specific target group. AmeriCorps members will bring continuity and fidelity into academic-focused Club programming, which includes implementation of the Summer Brain Gain curriculum during the summer months. Curriculum is comprised of weekly thematic modules that build to a final project or event, including mandatory literacy and STEM-focused projects. Short term, measurable outcomes for the program will consist of: Club Attendance, Academic Achievement and Grade Progression. Type of Enrollment: 1) Three quarters time (1,200 hours)
