Major/Essential Functions
  • Develop, test, implement, and manage enduring online material for the institution's faculty (PLFSOM, GGHSON, WLHSODM, and the GSBS).
  • Develop, test, implement, and manage enduring online material for regional and international collaborative educational programs. Prepare training materials and present content at a live session.
  • Develops and implements data collection systems for statistical analysis.
  • Provide technical support with the the institution's learning management system (Canvas) of the OFD programs and online faculty projects to the regional and international collaborative educational programs.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred expertise in eLearning Authoring Tools (Articulate, Captivate), programming languages (JavaScript, NET, SQL), databases (MS SQL, Oracle, Access), and skillful/knowledgeable on MS Excel (Pivot Tables) and Canvas LMS.
  • Proficient in Multimedia software (Adobe Creative Cloud products Premiere, Audition, Photoshop, etc.).

Pay Statement
Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as, the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan on the Human Resources webpage.

Occasional Duties
  • Provide technical support to faculty for quality improvement projects, tenure and promotion support (application generation), digital multimedia production of videos, images, poster presentations, and electronic surveys.
  • Provide technical support and preparation of documentation, teaching, and assessment materials and equipment for faculty development activities.
  • Provide technical support with multimedia software and uses an integrated environment for software development.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for equipment within the Office of Faculty Development.
  • Provide support by consolidating all documents and materials for Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) and Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACS-COC) accreditation.
  • Other duties as assigned.
