Anatomic Pathology Supervisor

Prior AP experience required. BS preferred but not required. AA Degree required. Medical Technologist not required. Histology Tech or Cytology Tech certification required. Under the direction of the Laboratory Director, this position provides technical supervision of staff in the various disciplines of laboratory services in the performance of moderately to highly complex testing.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field and graduation from an AMA accredited school of Medical Technology, or an equivalent combination of training, education, or experience in accordance with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists Board of Registry.

Experience:

• Must have a minimum of three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience as a Medical Technologist.

Specialized Training:

• Must be certified by the American Society of American pathologists or equivalent.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and in writing including knowledge of basic grammar, spelling & punctuation.
• Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
• Requires excellent time management skills and customer service skills.
• Must possess basic computer skills in a Windows environment.
• Analytical skills are strongly preferred.
