Animal Resources Technician
Job Description
Lovelace Biomedical Research Institute is looking for dedicated full time Animal Resources Technician to perform husbandry and cage wash duties. The Animal Resources Technician will be responsible for observing, feeding, watering, cleaning cages and any equipment associated with the care of animals. This position will also maintain the cleanliness of the animal housing areas. cage wash, feed warehouse and all animal equipment storage areas.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
Requires strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
Requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and other heavy equipment, pushing, bending, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, outdoor work, working in extremes temperature and humidity. Must be able to wear a respirator and protective clothing or equipment. A Post-offer physical and background check/security clearance are required. Ability to gain and maintain access to Kirtland Air Force base (KAFB) is required.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
