Formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop and modify information systems. Prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Design, code, test, and debug documents and maintain programs. Design and code efficient, cost effective application program solutions. Translate business requirements to technical specifications. Contribute to technical designs for new applications and enhancements, including integration of purchased solutions. Perform ongoing system maintenance, research problem resolution and on-call support, according to defined plans or documentation for existing systems. Work with Agile methodology in compliance with all required artifacts. Perform unit testing and assist in integration and system testing, according to detailed test plans to ensure high-quality systems. Support processes related to the implementation of systems into production, including integration of purchased solutions. Support the Code Asset Management process and support and promote the reuse of assets across the organization. Contribute to multiple projects and SRs, and actively participate as a member of each project team supporting an application or set of applications. Required Qualifications
Masters Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 2 years of application development experience. Must have experience analyzing system requirements and using them to create high level designs; developing modules using Java, Enterprise Java Beans (EJB), JSP, Servlets, WebSphere message Broker, Hibernate and Spring framework; performing unit testing and peer review; creating message queues in development environment; utilizing Agile methodology; and coordinating release of code for system integration testing, user acceptance testing and production environment; and branching and code merging using TFS.
