How Youll make an Impact:

This role is aligned with the development team responsible for planning, implementing, and solution delivery of our in-house order management system supporting the supply chain. This is a hands-on technical architect position based on Oracle technology, specifically PL/SQL and Apex framework.

Technical Leadership: 60%

  • Systems architect responsible for designing application architecture using PL/SQL and Oracle Apex.

  • Lead the solution design of large and complex order management applications and integration with external systems to meet Carters business needs for all channels (Wholesale, Retail, and eCommerce).

  • Lead analysis, design, development, configuration & deployment of the system/solutions in accordance with Carters methodologies.

  • Development of complex stored procedures/triggers in an Oracle database utilizing PL/SQL as needed.

  • Develop user interfaces using Oracle Apex technology.

  • Work with various cloud technologies.

  • Provide estimates for technical solutions and manage up to delivery.

  • Maintain technical road maps for OMS system to align with business objectives and initiatives.

  • Work with the rest of the IT organization to define and accomplish strategic and tactical initiatives.

  • Develops conceptual designs for complex business problems. Identifies and supports key system roadmap requirements for the OMS.

Customer Focus and Subject Matter Expertise: 20%

  • Liaise with business users to convert business requirements to system specifications.

  • Accountable for OMS system and serve as a single point of contact - Partner with other technical resources and lead the solution design, development, and implementation.

Compliance & Production Support: 20%

  • Establish and maintain best practices and standards during design and development.

  • Mentor team members in coding best practices, code design patterns, and new technologies.

  • Drive code and design reviews to completion.

  • Perform database tuning tasks as needed for smooth operation of the system.

Must have:

  • Technical architecture and hands-on development experience in Oracle PL/SQL and Apex.

  • Application development in Supply chain/ERP/Order management systems.

  • Exemplary communication skills (written, presentation, meeting management, documentation).

Preferred skills and experience:

  • 8+ Years experience in a technical architect role for a complex enterprise system.

  • 8-10 Years experience developing PL/SQL Packages and developing user interfaces with Oracle Apex framework.

  • 12+ Years of progressive technical experience in system design, development, and implementation.

  • Working knowledge with Oracle Exadata 19c and database modelling/physical database design.

  • Experience in database performance tuning of complex Oracle PL/SQL queries by analyzing query plans.

  • Must have experience working with Supply chain/ERP/Order management systems.

  • Experience with cloud technologies, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure preferred.

  • Exemplary communication skills (written, presentation, meeting management, documentation).
