HOW YOULL MAKE AN IMPACT:


This position is responsible for the security and safety programs across two shifts in within the Braselton, GA 1.1 million sq ft Distribution Center. This role typically reports into a Shift Director and has responsibility for multiple shifts. This position is based in our Braselton Distribution Center. This role leads and develops at least 2 equipment operator training coordinators and at least 15 security guards across multiple shifts with the need for weekend/night/holiday hours and occasional travel to Buckhead and/or other DCs.
Safety (50%)


- Serve as a 1st responder in the event of an injury, assist employees/leaders with accident reporting and medical attention
- Respond to and investigate all equipment related incidents/accidents on respective shift.
- Lead in safety review boards for equipment incidents and injuries occurring on respective shift
- Act as a point of contact for safety related questions. Research and provide feedback for safety questions and concerns
- Oversee Equipment Operator Trainer/ EO Training Program on respective shift
- Monitor shift specific SPI and work with shift leaders to ensure monthly completion
- Lead for Shift Safety Committee
- Stock/restock first aid supply cabinets
- Update safety information board for respective shift
- Oversee incident/injury investigations from their shift, providing root cause and identifying prevention methods
- Lead Job Safety Analyses on their respective shift
- Conduct shift safety observations and inspections; provide on-the-spot corrections in the form of recommendations to Managers and Supervisors
- Conduct observations based on findings from previous observations and inspections
- Manage administration of Federal Regulatory Programs (OSHA, EPA) on assigned shifts
- Partner with maintenance on building safety issues and opportunities

Security (50%)


- Lead a safety team fostering a culture of safety excellence while serving as the face of the business for associates and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and secure environment.
- Act as a liaison between Asset Protection Team and shift leadership in matters regarding safety and security policies and practices
- Ensure proper communication protocol is followed in the event of a major event or emergency on their shift
- Collaborate with AP supervisors on other shifts to ensure all life safety and security systems are inspected on prescribed inspection intervals. Report any deficiencies to Shift Leader or Maintenance Manager for correction
- Thoroughly understand operation of security and camera system. Be available as SME for AP team questions.
- Be available for consultation and concern resolution with any issues arising from AP team during the execution of their job duties.
- Proactively identify potential for loss and develop strategies to eliminate it.
- Effectively collaborate and communicate up-to-date information on business plans and priorities with internal and external business partners.
- Obtain quotes and scope of work as requested for capital expenditures related to building and equipment.

Must have:


- 1 - 3 years leadership experience in an industrial setting
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral formats
- Demonstrates confidentiality and professional restraint
- Organization skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands
- Interpersonal competencies to include: integrity and trust, adaptability, leadership, motivation, coaching and mentoring and initiative
- Ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization
- Possess strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to lead employees in a multi-shift environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evening or weekend shifts
Preferred skills and experience:


- Georgia 24-hour Security Guard Training (training can be provided upon employment)
- Adult First Aid/CPR/AED certified (training can be provided upon employment)
- Associate degree preferred
- Strong time management, organizational and verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards as they apply to General Industry.
