Marana is the fastest growing community in Southern Arizona and the 2nd largest municipality in Pima County. The Town was recently recognized as one of the ten most successful cities in Arizona. Marana lies approximately 20 minutes northwest of downtown Tucson and 75 minutes southeast of Phoenix. The Town of Marana is seeking a full-time Assets Coordinator within our Technology Services Department. This is an exciting opportunity for someone interested in providing asset management and logistical support to the department.

Salary Range: $17.52 - $25.46 (placement within the salary range is dependent on direct experience, internal equity and/or budget)

Examples of Duties

  • Provides asset management through the expansion of systems capabilities and logistics support.
  • Maintains and coordinates the asset management platform within the department(s) to ensure asset records are complete and accurate.
  • Maintains asset inventory.
  • Coordinates with department(s) to determine value of existing assets, facilitate inspection schedules, preventative maintenance and repair/replacement activities, and assist GIS with updating asset data.
  • Prepares a variety of reports reflecting costs (labor, equipment, materials) and activities associated with maintaining assets.
  • Analyzes problems and implements solutions by expanding, modifying, or integrating capabilities within the asset management system.
  • Provides technical support and trains town staff in entering data into asset management software.
  • Coordinates and assists the department in developing operational/maintenance records.
  • Assists with implementing asset management departmental goals.
Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalency plus six months of additional education or training
  • Over one year of administrative and inventory experience
  • Valid Arizona Driver License
  • Ability to pass both the Town of Marana background check and a motor vehicle records check
  • Must pass fingerprint clearance background check
An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that provides the desired knowledge, skills & abilities to successfully perform essential functions maybe considered.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience with technical software systems and asset management programs
  • GIS experience
