This can be a work-from-home opportunity
This position within the VAULT (Value Based Actuarial Underwriting Leading Transformation) organization assists in the expansion of Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs), Joint Venture Partnerships (JVs) and other Value Based Contracts (VBCs) across the US. Herein, VBCs reflect ACOs, JVs and any other VBC products.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Build, enhance, maintain and use Access and Excel tools to assess the value that is expected to be created through VBC partnerships using medical cost data.
* Collaborate with regional actuarial teams in assessing competitive positioning of VBC products within each market.
* Model the current cost position of the proposed VBC, and compare that cost position to our targeted cost position relative to competitors. Determine any gap we need to close or the advantage we hold.
* Consult on revising network to achieve greater efficiency and cost savings
* Support the development of methodologies, tools and processes to track and evaluate VBC performance post launch as compared to initial expectations.
* Opportunities to present results to both internal and external audiences.
* Participate on various project teams, for initiatives both within and outside the department
Key success factors include
* Support actuarial functions by applying quantitative skills and analytical methods.
* Take full ownership of assignments and act as lead where possible.
* Leverage technical skills (especially Microsoft Excel and SAS) to achieve business solutions and develop solid understanding of business and product processes.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 3+ years related work experience
- ASA (Associate of the Society of Actuaries) or FSA (Fellow of the Society of Actuaries) preferred
- Strong technical, analytical, and financial skills
Preferred Qualifications
Prior Commercial pricing or MEU experience is helpful but not required
