Job Description
Location: Phoenix, AZ
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
To assist the cook with the Senior Center goal of providing Congregate and Home Delivered Meals to the elderly according to the menus approved by the Registered Dietician.
SPECIALIZATIONS
Must have two years experience in food service industry.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to obtain a Maricopa County Food Handlers Card within thirty days of employment.
At least two years of experience in food industry
Must be able to read and understand meal plans
Must have dependable transportation
Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND COMPETENCIES
Pick up food products, cooking supplies, etc.
Maintains monthly inventories of food/cleaning items
Assists with the preparation of meals as outlined on menus
Responsible for kitchen clean-up
Provide back up assistant to the cook
Assist the Director in any manner necessary to accomplish goals and objectives for the Senior Center
JOB DEMANDS
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing
Able to present operational information to personnel at all levels.
CONTINUOUS EDUCATION
Employee will be expected to participate in continuous learning, competency building and maintenance of competency skills.

Work is performed in structured environments.
ACCOUNTABILITY
Reports to and is supervised directly by Director of Elderly Services. Employee is also accountable for understanding and complying with CPLC policies and procedures.
