Assistant Handyman & Carpenter

House Doctors of Charleston, a junior handyman technician. Someone to be an assistant to our senior technicians. We have full openings available for individuals that possess nothing but the highest of quality and customer relations skills and is willing to learn from Technicians.

As our junior technician, you will be assisting our senior technicians with a variety of projects. You will be working with our Technicians who will provide direction on all jobs. In this position you must always be customer focused, willing to take direction, clean, neat and always presentable and reliable at all times.

House Doctors will supply:

• Medical Insurance
• 401 K
• Company Uniform Shirts
• Specialty Equipment (i.e. ladders, table saws, etc.).

Important: Each candidate must have a clean driving record, a valid SC drivers license, pass a background check and be willing to submit to drug testing at any time.

Experience Level: as a Junior Technician we do not require vast experience but a willingness to take direction and follow direction.

Skills required or will be learned:

• Drywall and painting repairs
• Interior door and trim installation
• Tile installation and repair
• Minor plumbing and electrical repairs
• Window and Exterior door replacements
• Cabinet installation
• Exterior siding and roofing repairs
• Minor framing repairs
• Small masonry repairs

Work Schedule: Our work schedule is Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. but our Junior Technicians must have the flexibility to work evenings and Saturdays when requested. All scheduling will be performed by our centrally located office where all technicians will be dispatched.
