Major/Essential Functions
  • Contributes to the University's mission through teaching students and residents, research and clinical services
  • Provides patient care services in outpatient and inpatient settings
  • Participates in research and scholarly activities in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, in the area of Women's Health
  • Participates in committees and other administrative duties
  • Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
  • Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
  • Demonstrates Professionalism in accordance with Paul L. Foster School of Medicine Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in clinical and/or basic biomedical science research
  • Experience education of residents and/or medical students
  • Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Board Certification in Maternal-Fetal Medicine by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish
  • Emerging or established regional or national reputation for the rank of associate professor or higher

Required Qualifications
  • M.D./D.O.
  • Successful completion of ACGME- or RCPSC-accredited residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Successful completion of ACGME- or RCPSC accredited fellowship program in Maternal-Fetal Medicine
  • Texas medical license or eligible for licensure in the state of Texas
