Major/Essential Functions

• Provides Gastroenterology in-patient care and inpatient consultation services
• Attends Fellow and private faculty clinics
• Supervises and teaches students, residents, fellows in both inpatient and outpatient care
• Participates in academic activities in the areas of education, clinical care and research
• Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
• Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
• Exhibits teamwork orientation and acts as a team player
• Demonstrate professionalism in accordance with Paul L. Foster School of Medicine Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• M.D. or D.O.
• Successful completion of ACGME-accredited internal medicine residency program
• Licensed or eligible for medical licensure in the State of Texas
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine
• Board Certified in Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine or successful completion of an ACGME accredited fellowship in Gastroenterology
• Experience in teaching Medical Students and Residents
