Major/Essential Functions

• Participates in Oncology in-patient care and in-patient consultation services
• Participates in Fellow and Private Faculty clinics
• Supervises and teach students, residents, and fellows in both in-patient and out-patient care
• Participates in academic activities in the areas of education, clinical care and research
• Adheres to Institutional and departmental policies and procedures
• Ensures compliance with HIPPA and billing regulations
• Exhibits teamwork orientation and acts as a team player
• Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with Paul L. Foster School of Medicine Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibilities

Required Qualifications
Academic degree as defined by the academic unit and as appropriate for the position held. Demonstrated record of effectiveness as a teacher, a record of peer reviewed publication and/or peer-reviewed creative activity which has contributed to the discipline or field of study, to the candidates intellectual and artistic development, and to the quality of the academic enterprise; a record of professional service appropriate to the discipline; promise of growth in teaching and research or artistic and creative activity

• M.D. or D.O.
• Licensed in Texas, or eligible for medical licensure in the State of Texas
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine
• Board Certified in Oncology or successful completion of an ACGME accredited fellowship in Oncology
• Candidate must be capable of teaching Medical Students, Residents and Fellows
