Major/Essential Functions
- Provides comprehensive care for seriously ill newborns, infants, children and adolescents or those needing a high-level monitoring in a pediatric intensive care unit
- Supervises medical students, residents, and advanced practice professionals in clinical setting
- Participates in education of medical students and residents
- Participates in academic research and scholarly activities
- Participates in committees and other administrative duties as assigned
- Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations; adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
- Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility

Required Qualifications
- M.D./D.O.
- Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatrics Residency Program
- Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship program in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine
- Texas license or eligible for licensure in Texas
