National Jewish Health, located in the heart of Denver, Colorado near the beautiful Rocky Mountains, is seeking a candidate at the assistant professor level in the Division of Biostatistics. The candidate will collaborate with researchers at NJH involved in a wide variety of research, and will also have the opportunity to seek funding for personal research of interest. Collaborative research may include but is not limited to basic sciences, observational studies, clinical trials, longitudinal analyses, omics, and multivariate analyses. The ideal candidate will have the following qualities.

  • A Ph.D. degree in Biostatistics or closely related field
  • Either substantial postdoctoral training or graduate-level research experience
  • A publication record, and some experience with grant writing
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • The ability to collaborate closely with other researchers

Usually a minimum of three peer-reviewed, first authored publications on original research and/or important clinical applications of basic science, excluding case reports and reviews. As appropriate, the development and dissemination of intellectual properties may also be considered. Strong commitment to teaching and potential for outstanding teaching performance. Excellent clinical or service skills. Track record in obtaining initial funding for research program.
