Position Summary |
Under general supervision, the Associate Director forProgram Development provides operational and administrative supervision for theprojects and activities of the Latin American and Iberian Institute. Theseinclude: Grant development, writing and management: Developinitiatives and contribute to writing proposals in support of Instituteprograms (including US Department of Education Title VI National ResourceCenter Grant/Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowship grants); manage grantactivities; liaise with funding agencies and partners; collect data and writereports; contribute to program assessment; coordinate with other units oncampus and community and national partners to ensure execution of grantdeliverables; advise recipients of student fellowships resulting from grants. K-12 and higher education programming support: Collaboratewith teacher training programs and community partners to develop K-12initiatives; liaise with programs, departments, and schools across Central New MexicoCommunity College (CNM) and UNM, including professional schools; outreach toUNM and CNM students about LAII initiatives and Latin American Studies; supportLatin American Studies director with program development, management, studentadvising and reporting. Information Technologies: interface with Main IT regardingdepartmental server and storage needs; maintain departmental IT accounts. Miscellaneous: provide support to LAII director as needed interms of program development and reporting; facilitate networking with keyindividuals and organizations (private sector, nonprofit, and governmentagencies at multiple levels) outside of UNM. ***Application Instructions REVISED

Minimum Qualifications |
Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
