We are looking for an Associate Director of Reservations to assist the Director of Reservations with the day to day operations and reservations for all East West Hospitality (EWH) locations. Train new agents to utilize Navis tools, reservations systems and best sales practices. Analyze and report on data and trends as well as work closely with revenue management, marketing, and sales to drive revenue.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide operational support for the reservations team
  • Be the first point of contact on a system or reservation issue, troubleshoot, and then escalate if necessary. Work with other departments as needed on guest recovery efforts to achieve guest satisfaction.
  • Assist with guest escalations and recovery as needed by the reservations team
  • Train new sales agents on the systems and products
  • Provide call coaching and training to all reservation sales agents
  • Understand OTA/listing site contracts, commission/fee structures, payment/cancelation polices to assist reservations team in processing and maintaining accuracy of third party reservations in PMS.
  • Ensure quality control and provide systems to maintain high quality control
  • Provide overflow call center support when necessary
  • Be familiar with all lodging properties
  • Responsible for managing at least one Reservations Analyst

Location: EWH Shared Services Office - Avon, CO

Start Date: ASAP

Employment Status: Full Time, Year Round

Pay Rate: $50K / year + target incentive plan of $25K / year for total comp of about $75K.

Minimum Requirements
  • Four years combined experience as a supervisor or manager in a related position in hospitality.
  • Desire to bring prospects through the sales pipeline and maximize revenue through demonstrated transactional sales experience
  • Must have a professional appearance and demeanor, excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively lead, train, coach and motivate a sales team
  • Ability to work well with others, self-motivated, and reliable
  • Ability analyze data to make strategic business driven decisions
  • Highly motivated and determined to reach target driven goals
  • Resilience and the ability to successfully cope with difficult situations
  • Ability to be organized and prioritize effectively
  • Excellent organizational, communication and computer skills
  • Ability to effectively navigate various PMS software platforms and third-party channel managers.
  • Ability to work irregular hours and days
  • Ability to respond to guest inquires and handle difficult situations in a calm and professional manner. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer Operations: Should possess knowledge of Reservations software (Navis and IQware a plus), MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Ability to learn other software systems including online wholesale extranets and accounting systems.
  • Mathematical and Reasoning Skills
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
