Job Description

Red Wing Shoes is looking for an Associate HR Business Partner. This position will be based in Red Wing, MN and is a great opportunity for someone who wants to build a career as a partner to the business in achieving their objectives via a people focused strategy.

The Associate HR Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for supporting the execution of HR initiatives across designated business units that support corporate and business unit strategies and objectives. This role will assist the Human Resources Business Partner(s) build leadership and management capability, enhance the employee experience, provide HR perspective to business decisions, and develop and integrate targeted people strategies. The Associate HRBP will provide operational support to the HRBP(s) in areas such as talent acquisition, workforce planning, talent management, change and learning, employee/labor relations, performance management, communications and enhancing employee experience.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelors degree in Human Resources or other business related field (B.A./B.S.) and at least two years work experience, with at least one year of experience in HR; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates should have some experience in Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, or in an employee facing HR support role, and experience supporting development and execution of HR initiatives and processes; Professional in Human Resources (PHR) Certification is a plus

Candidates should have strong interpersonal and communication skills with a flexibility of style that enables successful partnership with a variety of groups; excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, projects and tasks ensuring results are delivered on time and of high quality; demonstrated ability to partner effectively in a team setting; ability to manage expectations of the business units and HR team; ability to effectively analyze situations, and offer thoughtful and innovative solutions to business problems; ability to leverage people, process and technology to drive improvements; working knowledge of areas such as organizational development, team dynamics, leadership development, employee relations, management/leadership effectiveness; demonstrated knowledge of employment law, policies, practices and the ability to effectively apply to organizational issues; strong computer skills including MS Office, and familiarity with HRIS systems and other HR platforms.

Position requires flexibility of hours as customers span global time zones, and situations sometimes arise that require time outside of standard business hours. Some ability to work remotely.
