Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works with Marketing Brand Managers to develop strategy and execute of a diverse calendar of events on behalf of the five Triumph brands - TriumphPay, Triumph Business Capital, TBK Bank, Triumph Commercial Finance, and Triumph Insurance Group.
  • Creates detailed plans and manages companys presence and/or activations at tradeshows, conferences, seminars, special events and other meetings for sales and entertainment.
  • Manage event logistics, including the negotiation for space contracts, booking of event space, arranging food and beverage, ordering supplies and promotional materials, and audio/visual equipment.
  • Manages event budgets, including pre-estimated expenses through final reports.
  • Manages relationships and negotiates with external vendors, production and exhibit companies.
  • Manages booth properties and event-related inventory, internally and externally.
  • Completes and submits documentation for events, including event proposals, staff travel authorizations, hotels arrangements, payment requests, etc.
  • Submits and manages event-related creative briefs, graphic requests, purchase requests, etc. for the production of signage, handouts and other event materials.
  • Assists in the creation, editing, and uploading of videos related events.
  • Assists with social media related to events, including taking photos and/or video before and during event, as well as seeking approvals as needed.
  • Manages events onsite including staff scheduling and assists with travel/transportation as needed.
  • Acts as company ambassador at events, including assisting VIP guests and partners as needed.
  • Identify and improve inefficiencies in the current event process and propose new ideas to improve the event planning and implementation.
  • Stays abreast of changes in the hospitality and events management space/environment to adapt best practices, new ideas and make recommendations for continued success.
  • Assists in the execution of internal and corporate events as needed.
  • Other duties are included, as assigned by the CEO, President, CMO, or management, according to the needs of the organization.

Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communication, Hospitality Management or related field required.
  • 5+ years experience in events planning, including tradeshow and conference participation and management in a corporate environment.
  • Project management experience, including management of vendor relationships.
  • Advertising or digital ad agency experience a plus.

Strategic Knowledge and Professional Abilities:

  • Ability to travel as business needs require, up to 30-50%.
  • Able to research, learn and understand the complex financial markets that TBK Bank and its divisions operate.
  • Focuses on steering events in alignment with the brand voice, but also staying abreast of industry changes, community causes/developments and has a strong hand in helping steer the brand.
  • Build alignment with the Executive team, Business Partners, Shared Services and Operational support, as well as within the Marketing and Communication group to identify smart wins and speed-to-market.
  • Ability to understand and manage complex events, multiple vendors/contractors, while working under tight schedules and deadline.
  • Effective, professional verbal and technical written communication skills, with excellent writing and editing abilities.
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to plan, manage and oversee production of creative materials, taking ideas from concept to completion.
  • Able to work independently, applying education and professional experience to achieve outstanding results.
  • Demonstrates highest level technical and cognitive abilities to ensure accuracy, precision and complete projects on time and on budget.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Salesforce, marketing automation, and/or event software preferred.

  • Build partnerships to proactively collaborate on event goals and objectives, programs and initiatives that promote brand image, community, products and services or client recognition. This may include any of the above that cut across the organization to keep team members informed.
  • Team player with a strong work ethic. Demonstrates considerable tact, diplomacy, discretion and judgment with ability to build/maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
  • High level of maturity and stability with an "optimistic" approach.
  • A self-starter able to be both entrepreneurial and strategic in approach with hands-on experience.
