Job Description
CVS Health seeks to change how individuals manage their healthcare by focusing on the features that matter most to our customers, building software in a modern, lean way, and deploying continuously into the cloud. We seek an engineer with experience designing, developing, and implementing domain-driven service architectures. In addition, our ideal candidate will have a background in developing low latency scalable services. And will have familiarity with emerging technologies and modern API platforms.

Objectives of this Role
Work with engineering teams to design and implement domain-driven service solutions
Partner with our engineers in implementing fine-grained, low latency, microservice architectures
Ensure our microservices security, performance, uptime, and scalability maintain the highest standards

Daily Responsibilities
Participate in all aspects of the agile software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, planning, development, testing, and quality
Collaborate with architecture, data engineering, and microservice teams to design well-defined API solutions
Develop fine-grained modules to enable functions for multiple purposes and reusable code
Give high-level attention to creating health checks, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms to enhance observability.
Engage in solving issues, troubleshooting incidents, root cause analysis, and implementing preventive measures to minimize future problems

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 60,000
Maximum: 128,700

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in designing, developing and deploying microservices
Proven ability to document processes, architecture designs, development methods, and troubleshooting techniques
Experience in translating expansive features into customer-centric microservices

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with NodeJS, or TypeScript
Experience with continuous delivery that deploys and maintains services on AWS (using CircleCI, ECS, EC2, Elasticsearch, SNS, SQS, and RDS)
Experience in several areas: Microservice architectures, data storage, messaging, distributed tracing, logging, and resource monitoring

Education
Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
