As a Professional Security Officer for Allied Universal you will be responsible for the security and safety of our clients property and personnel. As the Allied Universal Security Officer, you will know all site-specific policies and procedures, and implement emergency response activities as appropriate, while providing superior customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Receive, review, modify, and process employee and vendor access upon request and as appropriate.
  • Produce required badges/ ID Cards and ensure that all cards include the required information and proper formatting.
  • File, update, and maintain records, database entries, and logs in a consistent and organized manner.
  • Maintain records of parking information for each individual on site.
  • Receive visitors and control incoming visitors ensuring they are processed with the COVID 19 response standards using the Visitor Access Request Form.
  • Triage all issues that arise, providing employees and vendors with resources.
  • Perform general duties such as typing forms and documents, completing any other written communications, scheduling appointments, and answering phones.
  • Generate security reports to support departmental requests.
  • Operate and monitor computerized security access control systems for all security card readers on and off site.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Ability to handle difficult, confidential and sensitive assignments.
  • Able to interact with public and staff in stressful situations.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Capability of clear and audible speech as required for effective communication.
  • Possess administrative and customer service skills to interact with customers, issue badges, remove access, run reports, and assist with clerical efforts in the badging office.
  • Must have intermediate-level computer skills that include the Microsoft Suite and have an aptitude to learn the Gallagher Badging Software.
  • Working knowledge of office equipment.
  • Be at least 18 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent for non-driving and 21 years of age for driving positions
  • Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
  • Valid guard card/license, as required in the state for which you are applying.
  • As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
  • For Driving Positions must be 21 years of age, Current state drivers license, clean driving record (no points in prior 3 years), minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and ability to safely operate a vehicle required.
  • Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
  • Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
  • Able to:
    • Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
    • Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds
    • Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
    • Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
