Job Description

The Banking Financial Services Practice Group has an exciting opportunity for a senior associate or counsel level attorney with a minimum of five years experience working on regulatory matters to join its market-leading team. Our clients are defining the future of financial services.

The ideal candidate will have experience with core bank and bank holding company regulation, including charter and licensing, bank powers and activities, affiliate transactions, brokered deposits, controlling and non-controlling investments, and governance/risk management. Experience with chartering new market entrants, with bank partnership models, and BSA/AML/OFAC are pluses. Experience with consumer protection and payments (both traditional payment products and emerging platforms/FinTech) is also a plus. Transactional experience is not required but valuable.

Outstanding communication skills, oral and written, are required, as is an unrelenting commitment to client service. Prior federal or state banking agency experience, is beneficial but not required. We are open to applicants in the markets above with a preference for Washington, D.C. Applicants must be currently licensed to practice law in the jurisdiction for which they are applying, or be currently eligible to waive in.
