Southwest Behavioral & Health Services is hiring Behavior Technicians to join our Southwest Autism Center of Excellence Program. This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday. This program is community based so you may work in clients home, community or office setting. If you have experience in autism, respite care, working with DDD population, special education, or have general behavioral health experience but would like to expand your skills in autism field, we would love to talk with you!

Leading both one-on-one and small group learning; no two days are the same. You will be a key component in helping our valued clients with self-care, skill building, copping strategies and improving their quality of life. We help staff with obtaining the RBT certificate and offer supervision.
Location: we have positions available in Mesa, Central Phoenix and North Phoenix.
Pay: starts at $18/hr. Rate is determined based on experience and certificate. We help staff with obtaining the RBT certificate and offer supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Implement, record and summarize data, for prescribed clients individualized treatment and behavior protocols.
- Implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction interventions, including discrete trial teaching, natural environment teaching, incidental teaching and social skills training prescribed in the clients individualized treatment plan.
- Assist with family and caregiver training in line with clients individualized treatment and behavior protocols.
- Effectively communicate with families and caregivers regarding client progress as instructed by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Utilize safe & appropriate crisis management procedures when working with clients.
- Collaborate with treatment team including client, families and caregivers, outside professionals, Behavior Technician, ABA Interns and co-workers.
Qualifications:
- Minimum requirement consists of a 21-years of age
- A High School Diploma/GED and 2 years of relevant experience in special education, developmental disabilities, and respite care.
- Required to maintain a valid Arizona drivers license.
- Required to maintain personal auto insurance per SBH guidelines.
- Must have fingerprint clearance issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety or be eligible to receive within eight (8) weeks of hire
