Course Description: This course introduces the historical and theoretical perspectives of family dynamics and systems. Topics include roles, communication styles, boundaries, generational patterns, cultural influences, and couples and parenting dynamics. Skills and modalities relevant to working with families in the behavioral health field are explored.

Qualifications:

*Professional or Teaching experience required.

• PhD in Counseling Education OR
  • Counseling OR
  • Social Work OR
  • Marriage and Family Therapy OR
  • Behavioral Health OR
  • Mental Health OR
  • Clinical Psychology OR
  • Counseling Psychology
• AND Associate or Independent level license in Counseling, Social Work, OR Psychology
• AND a minimum of 1 year of field related experience
• OR Master's in any of the above areas AND Associate or Independent level license in Counseling, Social Work, or Psychology AND a minimum of 2 years of field related experience
