Job Description

OBJECTIVE AND POSITION SUMMARY

Provides direct client care supervision to adolescent girls, ages 10-21 (clients) in a residential group home setting as part of a treatment team. Participates in trauma infirmed care, therapeutic interaction, guidance, support, medication monitoring, documentation of goals, and role modeling while monitoring resident behavior according to program guidelines. Fosters and creates positive relationships and communicates with team members, residents, resident families, and visitors. May facilitate groups and participate in daily care of infants/toddlers. Candidates must commit to a minimum of a three-month internship. Interns must meet with their Internship Supervisor weekly. Interns must complete 3 months to be considered for a Fulltime Behavioral Technician position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

Education
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be enrolled or completed a Peer Support Training Program or be enrolled in higher education behavioral science program.
  • Experience in social services field preferred.
  • Pursuant to Arizona Administrative Code R9-10-306 CHAPTER 10 of the Dept. of Health Services, personnel must be at least 21 years of age.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Required:
  • Must have and maintain a valid Arizona Driver's License and an acceptable driving record.
  • Maintain a valid and unexpired Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Able to obtain CPR (adult and infant), CPI and First Aid certification, before working unsupervised.
