  • Pay rate starts at $14.15 per hour ($12.15 + $2.00 shift differential) Friday - Sunday 3:00pm - 11:00pm!

As a Behavioral Health Technician (On-Call) at Devereux, you will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need. We offer:

Located in Scottsdale, Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Arizonas Respite program provides temporary rest or relief. The goal of respite care is to successfully provide an interval of rest for clients and their primary caregivers without disruption or compromise to their home environments. In this role you will actively assist the clients in the participation, involvement and routine of the Respite program. Through the Respite program, the kids get to enjoy group activities and go on field trips to museums, roller skating, and more!

As a Behavioral Health Technician (On-Call), you will:

  • Protect the health and safety of clients while supervising and implementing program activities and managing clients behaviors
  • Read and implement each clients individualized treatment plan
  • Assist in planning programming
  • Be an active team member in carrying out treatment goals
  • Participate as a memberof the Respite team and maintain a team environment
  • Have an energetic and creative approach while working with our kids, showing compassion and being a problem-solver to create a safe environment

Qualifications
  • HS diploma or GED required (Bachelors degree in Psychology, Social Work or relevant field preferred).
  • Minimum six (6) weeks of experience in behavioral health and/or working with children and adolescents
  • Must be available to attend 1 weeks of full time,required, paid training Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm
  • Valid Arizona Driver's License & pass DMV 39-month history check
  • Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions (or eligibility to obtain with no restrictions)
  • Drug test within 24hrs of offer w/ negative results.
  • Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidates understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children
